Re: Basically it's woolly Wednesday!!!
Jess - that has got to be stressful.Sorry I missed you before you went to bed, Janine, but here are some for when you get up in the morning. One of E's fellow Beavers had an outgrown bike floating around, and his dad put training wheels on it and gave it to us tonight. I will pay him for the training wheels next week, but still, a bike for $15 is not bad! (See, not everything is expensive up here.) I have a pic - I will post in a minute.

OK. I need to get MH off to bed early. She is the no nap wonder and is super duper crabby.
Jess I hope you have a good night.

Re: Basically it's woolly Wednesday!!!
Ugh Jess. Is she still peeing, has saliva, tears, etc? That's your concern now. Ginger had Hand/Foot/Mouth at close to that age (with tons of sores in her mouth and throat), and it nearly did her in. She would not swallow anything. Even after she was "well", she gagged and didn't want to eat or drink for a long time. But the only time I had to take her to the hossy was when she got the rotovirus and refused to eat or drink anything.
Three teaspoons to a tablespoon, 16 tablespoons to a cup. So every 48 teaspoons you get in her is a cup, ok? Go to the hossy if you think it's bad.

I don't think she is dehydrated. But she has thrown up 8x now.
She has tried smoothies, Popsicles, slushes, applesauce, broth, gatorade, juice, pudding and jello. Everything but water makes her gag. We are switching her to piggy backed advil and reg tylenol working on the theory that the codeine is causing problems. Just hoping that the pain is controlled. Thanks for the kind thoughts ladies.

We're thinking of you!
At least she is trying. Heck, I think even attempting some of those things the day after surgery is pretty good. And I hope that taking the codeine out of the rotation helps stop the vomiting.

Re: Basically it's woolly Wednesday!!!
Here's the deal, Jess, I will come syringe-feed Mari water if you will feed me ice cream, popsicles, smoothies and pudding. Okay?

Re: Basically it's woolly Wednesday!!!
Oh, yeah, a lot of people can't do codeine. Maybe that's all it is. Well as long as she's willing to let stuff in, you should be fine.
Why am I still up? Ugh.
