Another question is did u detach the front or back? I got one in a lot that had the back done . It actually seemed to fit better than detaching the front.

Re: Detaching soakers on bge?
Hmmm, that makes me wonder if I should do the front or back now. I may do one of each and see with I like better.

Re: Detaching soakers on bge?
I did it to a few. I haven't noticed that they "wear" any quicker. But the dry time is one cycle instead of 1.5 cycles. I like the way they fit, but my husband hates it so I haven't done more. That way I have a few that are ready quicker, but my husband doesn't have to use them. So I'd say it's just preference. And I did the front, seems easier to position correctly.

Dry time doesn't bother me as usually hang eveything overnight and fluff in the dryer so they aren't stiff and then they finish drying
it's the piece that bunches. We are on the smallest setting so I'm sure it will be less of an issue when she's bigger.

Re: Detaching soakers on bge?
I have done it to all of my (detached the front) and dont regret it at all. The dry time is quicker and the fit is way more adjustable. I dont think I would do the back as I would think it would be hard to get a good fit with the baby laying on his/her butt during changes. I dont worry about resale value at all because I have diapers in great shape sitting on FSOT that I cannot hardly give away so I am over trying to keep diapers in awesome shape just for resale purposes. There are so many BGE on FSOT anyway that you are fighting against everyone else trying to sell anyway. I dont regret it and love the fit on both my 4 month old (they fit well at 2 months) and my 20 month old. I have owned BGE twice before and ended up selling them as I wanted to love them but hated the soaker being attached on both ends but now my stash is made up of flats and detached BGE

Re: Detaching soakers on bge?
I detach both of the soakers from the diaper (in the front) and then seperate the two soakers from each other

Definatley do not do the backs! I had one I got and the back is detached and it is super hard to place because lo is laying on it so if she squirms it moves and is hard to put back in place. The front is a piece of cake
