Re: Name That Rash!
Quote:
I was going to suggest a latex allergy. I had a daycare girl who got these if she ate bananas....we thought nothing of it, until I used a latex glove before I was going to pick up something nasty, and I picked her up by the upper arms to move her away from it.. and where I touched her, she got these bumps. Then, a few months later, she had a bandaid on, and broke out again. Fortunately they figured it out before they bought her a bunch of balloons, she's never had any other reactions, just bananas and latex so far. (she's still little though)

Thanks for replying.
Guess I should watch him closely if he eats a banana, which he did this week. Because bananas & latex are similar right??? I'm starting to really think it is the band aids, bc a reaction to the shots doesn't really make sense because the rash is on the back of his shoulders & a virus doesn't make much sense because the rash is contained to this area and hasn't spread. And he hasn't ever really had band aids much before, just with his shots- although I don't remember this happening before with the band aids... I'm just really perplexed and disappointed I didn't get a straight answer from the doc. Sent from my iPhone using DS Forum
