DH works a "normal" salaried job and it's not shift work. He goes in at 9, so he leaves around 8:45. But, if he's home by 7 I get excited. Most nights he's not home until 9.

Re: What time does SO get home?

DH leaves around 4:30am and gets home anywhere between 5:30 (in the summer when it's slower) and 8:30 (in the winter). Most of the time he only works 4 days a week unless he's super busy.

I can't believe how late some of your DHs get home!! My DH leaves around 7:15 and gets home around 3:30 5 days a week. That is unless it's the fall and he's coaching football. He's a teacher, btw.

Re: What time does SO get home?

DH is a mail carrier at an office about an hour away from our house.
He leaves in the morning around 6:30am and gets home roughly 6pm every night.
Keep in mind, he works 6 days a week, with only Sunday's off.

Re: What time does SO get home?

DH leaves between 7 and 7:30am (the kids and I are out of the house by 7am, so I'm not positive) and is home around 5pm every day.

Re: What time does SO get home?

Mine works 2nd shift so he leaves at 1:30 and is home around 11pm. Then he stays up late and sleeps in and I usually end up waking him up around 10.

DH has no real schedule. He's in the Navy and so he's there when they need him there. Sometimes that's 8 hr days other times it's 16 hr days.

Re: What time does SO get home?

Varies. It really depends on his project. Most of the time, he works a 40 hour week. He's been on a difficult project since September and he's usually got his 40 hours in by Wednesday! He drops our oldest off at track practice at 6:30 a.m. and goes straight to work. He tries to come home around 8 p.m. so he can at least tell the kids good night, but it doesn't happen much and when it does, he has to do some more work at home. This project goes live in August and I can't wait!

I don't complain much because it's the nature of his job and over the span of working there, he's definitely had more 40 hours weeks than not. He also gets 7 weeks paid time off every year.

Dealing with him working a lot was MUCH harder when the kids were younger, so I feel for you mamas with little ones. My kids range in age from 5 years to 14 years and while my biggest problem is that we are so much busier than I thought possible, at least my kids are independent.

Re: What time does SO get home?

My DH just took a new job with an hour long commute. He's been there two weeks. The first week he left at 6:30am, got home around 5pm. The second week, he left about 6:45, got home around 6pm. Next week he starts doing OT. So he will be leaving around 6:30am, getting home around 7pm.
