Brown spotting first trimester

I had a little implantation bleeding with my first pregnancy, but this time it's more frequent. Still all brown no red. Anybody else have this and have a healthy baby?

Re: Brown spotting first trimester

I have had spotting, darker brown in color, with all three of my pregnancies. It went away around the 7 to 8 week mark.

2 little boys and 1 healthy little bean still growing at almost 16 weeks.

Yes. Brown blood is OLD blood that is finally making its way out. That was the reassuring statement from my OB.

I had spotting for about a week with my first (at 6 weeks). Scared the bejesus out of me.

Today at exactly 6 weeks with my second, I started spotting again. It's nearly as anxiety inducing as it was the first time. Make it a good excuse to go on pelvic rest and take it easy.

Edited to add - my first born went on to be the healthy and hearty sprat that threw a huge tantrum in the cvs today. I'm sure you're fine

Re: Brown spotting first trimester

I had brown spotting periodically about 6wks along. I would come and go. Then it picked up to dark red and quite a bit. It was enough and lasted long enough (1.5 days) that I thought I was miscarrying. I had no cramping along with the bleeding, though. I did have an early ultrasound, and it showed no reason for the bleeding and we could see a heartbeat. Currently 6 days overdue.. apparently this baby didn't want to come out then, and isn't coming out now. I'm going to be pregnant forever.

Re: Brown spotting first trimester

I had bleeding/spotting in my first two pregnancies and they were fine. The second go 'round was bright red blood and tissue and I really thought it was a miscarriage, but she's 8 now. I have had recurring issues with brown spotting this pregnancy, but so far as I know the babe's fine. This is my third day without any, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

It is nerve-wracking and that doesn't get any better.

Yep Brown = old blood.
I had a lot of trouble with DS1 but I had a low lying placenta - it was previa but corrected as my tummy grew. I ended up on pelvic rest and modified bedrest but also had contractions. He is 9 and super healthy now.
