I can't recall, but I don't think I drank more than 1-2 cups per day.

My labor was also pretty short...I was shocked when I went to the hospital and they said I was already 9cm. I was so quiet, they thought there was no way I was ready to birth within the hour. With my DS1, I did not drink any tea, arrived at the hospital thinking I was going to die of the pain, and was only 3 cm. Labor was about 20 hours total for him.

I drank about 2 per day. I slowly worked my way up to that amount. It was really yummy with a little honey added to it, and since I was pregnant in the summer, I would often brew up a big mason jar full and then chill it in the fridge!

Traditional Med says to drink 3-4 cups a day. I started with 1 and gradually worked my way up but now (between babies) I only drink 2 cups a day. It's really good with a little bit of honey. I've heard to get the "full effect" you are supposed to drink it as hot as you can (not sure how true that is) but I drink it hot and cold...it's good both ways!

I'm having lots of contractions at 26 weeks. Is RRL tea something that might help my uterus or is that something I should avoid until I'm closer to 37 weeks along? Anyone have experience with this? My midwife did a NST and is aware of my contractions/threat of preterm labor,etc BTW. She says baby is very low and that's why I'm feeling lots of vaginal pressure but my cervix is not dialated.

RRL tea is great if you have a history of preterm labor, it calms your uterus I have a history of pre term labor, and started having contractions w this bean way early, since I've been drinking the tea they have stopped completely, also my mw suggests 1 cup per trimester per day hth
