Re: Do you have an adult bed in your child's room?

We have a full in our son's room. We've never had a toddler bed. They seem like a waste of money to me because they outgrow them so fast. We still co sleep but we agreed on having beds that could fit another adult for instances when DS needs us in the future.

Ds has an "adult" twin day bed in his room. He never had a toddler bed.

If he's sick he usually sleeps in the bonus room on the couch with daddy (huge l shaped couch). Or he'll use his aero bed.

He doesn't have a room because we room share but he has a twin (but sleeps with us in our king). We use the twin when one of us wants to sleep alone or feels sick. And for anyone who wants to sleep in like when my cousin joe comes up he sleeps in it.

Re: Do you have an adult bed in your child's room?

I have twin bunk beds that are unbunked in my four year olds room. There is a twin in my toddlers room too. We went straight from twin to crib for him. However they both sleep in the 4-yr olds room.

The room the little kids share started out with a full sized bed for guests. We've just added the toddler beds as they were ready to move out of our room. Not sure what we're doing next though.

Nope. I have a full size bed in DS2's room with his crib. He actually hasn't made it into his crib yet (he's still in bed with us), but when we start to transition him I think it will be handy. It's also like having another guest room when we need one.

We don't. However, we do have a queen bed in the guest bedroom. So if a kid is having a particularly bad night, one of us will go sleep with her in the guest bedroom.

You aren't odd. DS1 has been sleeping on a queen size bed since he was 2.

DS2 is only in a crib because our new house isn't done yet, but his new room will also have a queen sized bed.

Re: Do you have an adult bed in your child's room?

We did, from the time the first kid was born (before, really) until we moved into another house, which was 6.5 years. We all slept together until we moved. Before we moved there were no plans to have kids sleep by themselves or without parent/s. We got a king sized bed and put it in "their" room after the birth of the second kid. That bed is now in our room. where DH and I sleep with the almost 5yo kid (#3). We never had twin sized beds at all until a year or so ago when my SIL gave us their old set. One of the kids sleeps in it now and the other one sleeps in a double bed by herself.

Re: Do you have an adult bed in your child's room?

Ds had a queen bed in thailand which was nice for times he wasnt feeling well or it was storming. He is terrified of storms. I could sleep with him. Now he has a twin and when he is sick or it storms, he sleeps with dh in our bed and i sleep in the twin in his bedroom. We'll get him a full sized bed in a couple of years when he outgrows the twin.
