I think my fluff addiction is about to hit all new levels!

My husband and I ordered a sewing machine from Amazon with the intention of using it for making clothing in the SCA (medieval re-enactment). It took a full 48 hours for it to suddenly hit me as I'm perusing Etsy looking for cute newbie cloth for a friend of mine who is expecting. I CAN MAKE FLUFF! Oh boy. As if my husband didn't have to deal with my addiction enough already. Now I just need to figure out how to make fitteds, soakers, and wraps in fleece and wool. My ds and niece or nephew to be are going to get so many cute thing!

If you can do reenactment stuff, diapers should be CAKE. A bit of a learning curve, but you'll totally get it quickly.

With just a machine, it's simple to do turned and topstitched fitteds. Covers with FOE are also REALLY quick and easy.

Yes, diaper sewing is a lot of fun! It's actually pretty easy to make fitteds and so satisfying to make something that would have cost over $20 to buy pre-made. Plus you can customize it to your child.

I'm a total novice sewer but I managed to make a completely unnecessary amount of fleece soakers for my dd...it was fun. I can't imagine what would have happened if I actually knew what I was doing...

LOL I'm a total beginner actually. I've only ever made an 8 gored tunic and a rectangle cloak (by hand at that), but I've got to start somewhere, right?

Oh man. This new LO has a pretty over the top MB stash at this point because I can't stop making adorable little diapers. And DH thinks its thrifty of me (lol), so he actually encourages me! My sister is due a week after I am, and I have a feeling I won't be able to stop myself from whipping out a second newborn stash. If you thought buying diapers was addictive, you have no idea how bad sewing diapers can be.
