Been scouring the internet and have found a good amount....though never enough reviews for these two places for birth. Can anyone share their reviews?
Thank you!!

What type of birth do you plan on having? Natural/unassisted, epidural, c-sec?

Re: Delivery Kaiser Zion vs. Kaiser Palomar
I gave birth at Kaiser Zion in 2006 (and then transferred there after a homebirth in 2007). I did not have a good experience. I definitely felt like I was cattle being shuffled through as quickly as possible. I guess it just depends on what you want out of your birth experience. I found they were not very natural childbirth friendly. They do have CNMs, though you get whoever is on shift at the time. I just found the nurses to not be so friendly and you share a room post-partem.
My sister gave birth at Palomar in 2005 & 2010. I was present at both births. I actually like Palomar a lot better than Kaiser Zion, but the thing with having a Kaiser birth at Palomar is that you are stuck with whatever Kaiser OBGYN happens to be there. That can be good or bad depending on who you get. My sister had a crappy OBGYN at her 2005 birth but a good one at her 2010 birth. Overall the nurses there are nicer and her post-partem experience was fairly good. (I believe you get your own room.) Either way, I'd definitely recommend getting a doula if you want a natural/intervention free experience. I was born at Palomar, though not through Kaiser.
