3 Across Cheaper than Radians?
We'll probably be getting a new car before having #3, but I'm sure this will be an issue anyway. Right now, the only thing that even *might* fit in my car would be 3 Radians (or 2 and a narrow infant seat?). What other combos will fit in some/most SUVs/Wagons 3 across? DD1 most likely be 4 when we have #3, and DD2 will be 2 1/2 (but gigantic and probably FF'ing. I have 99%'ers that outgrow everything RF'ing super early).
ETA: For now, we're just doing research to figure out what we need car wise and car seat wise, as we plan for TTC.

Evenlo maestro or secure kid would possibly work. The safety 1st guide or complete air for convertibles.

Re: 3 Across Cheaper than Radians?
It really depends. What car do you have now (make/model/year)? What car seats do you have now?

Re: 3 Across Cheaper than Radians?
We have a 2008 Subaru Legacy. The only thing that will fit RF'ing in it other than an infant seat are the compact seats (we have a Roundabout, which DD is already at the 1" mark). Then we have 2 Nautil...ii?
One is in each vehicle ATM. And we have a Boulevard in the truck, and a Keyfit 30 for our infant seat.

Re: 3 Across Cheaper than Radians?
Hm. Subarus can be tricky. The keyfit 30 is narrow, though. If you need 2 FF seats to fit with that, then probably one Radian and one Britax convertible like the Roundabout 55, marathon 70, or boulevard70 would work. Or, actually, the boulevard that you have puzzles well with a Radian. So you might need to just buy the one radian to get your 3 across.
I'm assuming that the roundabout you have is a 40 pound weight limit one? If it will fit rear facing then a larger, new Britax convertible probably will too (see list above). You can try them in your car at Babies R Us. If your dd is just now at the 1" mark in the 40# weight limit roundabout, she will have lots of growing room in a new Britax convertible (about the same as in your current boulevard). |
