My old boss is a coonspiracy theorist he even has his own fairly popular website! He used to have a radio show too...c.ts drive me nuts..

However i love heirloom seeds (that was the company i worked for) an believe the monsanto deal and am skeptical about 9/11...otherwisee i ignore it or i would turn nto a mental case

A video (with lots of conspiracy theory references). It's a music video from 2008. Ron Paul is also a frequent guest on Alex Jones. Ron Paul is very linked to conspiracy theory groups. I don't have time to go dig around youtube for all his interviews but I've heard him say stuff about Fema Camps back in 2008 ish. I had a very good friend who I had to stop associating with in 2009. I could not hear about the world ending on a daily basis and how I was going to be chipped, how I was going to die, etc. They would send me clips to watch all the time.

This is my favorite theory because it is just so much fun!

I love a good conspiracy theory! My favorite is about the Denver airport being a headquarters or meeting place for the New World Order! Or at least the most evil place on earth. I mean, check out the horse that greets you!

I don't believe it all, but I do believe that it's pretty freaking nutty and all those "random" objects of said theory make for some interesting reads.

Of course I don't believe ALL that is part of a particular conspiracy, but I do believe that each one has it's own shred of truth.

I think the reason there are so many conspiracy theorists out there is because there is truth to some of the theories. For example, Bill Gates has been on camera more than once making references to vaccines being effective at controlling population growth. Now whether or not he actually owns the New World Order, who knows? I don't necessarily think there is one, but I honestly would not be surprised.

Just think, if a year ago, someone told you that the US government was selling guns to Mexican drug cartels, many people would just blow that person off as a quack conspiracy theorist.

I think there's too much corruption and opacity in the government to trust it.

I also wouldn't trust Snopes with political or controversial fact checking. They, just like any news station or other source of information, are created by humans who may have an agenda on certain topics.

It's About trying to rationalize the pain we see in this world. Some people are really happy and trust everyone. I myself am a conspiracy theorist, but I do not subscribe to other's beliefs necessarily. I have trust issues and I do not see people like care bears or floaty, pretty, magical things all about; but hey some do and that's fine too!

Ok, the horse statue is really frightening! Lol

. My neighbor is always talking about the world ending to DH and he gets really mad if you tell him you don't believe a perticular theory. I do think there is plenty of corruption with government agencies especially related to food production and the environment. However, many theories are just nutty in my opinion!

But the conspiracy theory stuff..... I'm honestly grateful for those people, the theories, those who care enough to get worked up about it.... because what if some of these thigns are true? Then they are the only ones taking the time and energy neccesary to look into it, and I think the world needs vigilent people! To whatever degree! Only, it can't be me. I like to listen to it sometimes but it will seriously drive me crazy.

eta--- I think it's funny that a PPer associated Ron Paul with conspiracy theorists!! I guess he does have a lot of liberatarian support and they are a large percentage of the theorists.... but Ron Paul himself doesn't base anything that I know of on conspiracy theories.... but rather history. "Those who don't know history are doomed to repeat it", right? And I find that most of his reasonings are based on things that have been proven by trial in some time in history.

I just want to say I'm a Seventh Day Adventist and I DO NOT, nor does my family participate in Conspiracy theory type stuff. I know some of the SDA churches are more conservative though. But I'm a liberal, not conservative.

Many conspiracy theories, I believe, are just plain crazy. The craziest of them all: Elite Lizard/Human/Alien Hybrids rule the world. Yes, you read that right. I actually know someone personally who believes it to be true.

However, many ARE true (call me a nutter if you like). There is no doubt in my mind that our government knew 9/11 was going to happen and participated in it to some degree.

It's not just a group of us silly crazies who believe it. There are many experts who disagree with the official ~~conspiracy theory~~ story. Pilots, demolition experts, physicists etc. There would just have to be too many coincidences and suspension of disbelief for the theory that a bunch of arab terrorists with box cutters to have done it. I call believing THAT crazy!

I feel like the only difference between someone who believes it and someone who doesn't is the right documentary i.e. NOT loose change.
