Re: Feeling brave....longies in front loader...
And what bases are they? I have some CF, CSF and MMW. I'd love to toss it all in the washer! I put my interlock to spin, but I don't even wash that in there. (shoot I'm even too big of a chicken to put my Superwash in there!)

Re: Feeling brave....longies in front loader...
2 hours down, and 12 woolies safe and sound---- all while Asher is napping! My work today is done!!!
![]() Here's how I did it: For dingy dirty woolies: 1. rinse and spin cycle on medium with Eucalan 2. 20 min sink soak with ENI wool wash, unscented 3. drain and spin cycle on medium For non-dingy, only worn a couple times, woolies: 1. 20 min sink soak with ENI wool wash, unscented 2. drain and spin cycle on medium I am thinking colorways with white in them, when you just do soak after soak, they never get, "ringed out" so the colors over time start to travel. A good, but not fierce rinse and spin seemed to "suck out" those colors that had traveled. And spinning vs towel rolling them after the soak might help to "maintain" the colors.... does that make any sense???

I don't have much wool, but I started spinning it in the washer just to get the water out. I got tired of having to wait so long for it to dry. Now I can (hand) wash and spin the water out at night and they are dry by morning.

Re: Feeling brave....longies in front loader...
I wash mine in our FL on 'hand wash' cycle on cold with lavender baby soap, do a lanolin soak, rise and spin cycle. I can do 3 or 4 pairs at a time.

Re: Feeling brave....longies in front loader...
Fodie... Do you do your lanolin soak IN your FL??? My settings on my FL won't let me do a soak with the hand wash cycle---- I am pretty sure if I used the normal cycle with with soak option I would get felting... maybe I could try with a few "play" woolies that aren't felted....
