I have used my top loader on the handwash setting to strip all of our wool with Dawn, and I use it to spin wool nearly everytime I wash.

YAY, good job, mama!!!

We do spin out all our wool in the top-loader, and it works great! Sometimes I forget to do it, and do the towel deal...and sometimes I'm lazy and the washer is full of laundry, lol!

I don't like using lanolin in the wash, but if its a lanolized cover and just needs a wash from dirt/poop with baby soap (don't have eucalan atm...), it works great! I don't wash my knit or crochet pairs in there though, just my upcycled.

I have been getting alot more brave with my wool, but still am careful with my gaia

Oh darn... our Koto's with natural trim got all muddy today!

They are on a delicate wash right now with Eucalan, with medium spin. Lets see if they felt! If they don't, I think I might be done with sink soaks!

Mtn Mdw takes a beating... I felted my kid easter bags (on purpose) and my DD was Aran LT which felted perfectly after 2 hot washes in the top loader

1st DS was Cestari and it took 3 washes plus boiling and tossing in the dryer.

2nd DS was Mtn Mdw and it still has not felted like the cestari did. It was done as the same as cestari 3 washes and boiling on the stove and dryer.

They were all knit on size 10.5 needles so they were really floppy and the Mtn Mdw actually looks like it just shrank down to regular size like as if i knit on 7-8 needles.

The one on the right is Mtn Mdw

I'm a rebel and spin out all my wool in my top loader including my yarn and fiber.

You only get felting when you have 3 things. wet, friction and heat so using your top loader to spin it out won't felt it unless you let it go through the whole agitation cycle.

Front loaders are awesome with wool since they don't agitate like a top loader does.

So Angela.... Lets say I separate out my woolies, lights, darks, and brights, and have 4-5 per load, will I felt my woolies if I do this in my front loader:

1. Gentle cold wash in Eucalan
2. Drain and spin on medium
