I hate picking out convertibles, PLEASE help me!

DD has nearly outgrown her Keyfit 30, so I need to make up my mind quickly.

Her stats:
5 months, 20 pounds, 28".

I drive a Mazda Tribute, it's identical to a Ford Escape. DS's XTSL fits well enough behind the passenger's seat, but my car is a stick and DH has a hard time shifting if the XTSL is behind the driver's seat.

What I'd like:
Low profile (I love how easy it is to get DS into his XTSL)
Premium LATCH clips (I despise the cheap ones)
Headwings

Right now DD is behind the driver's seat, and DS (24 months, 35 pounds, 37") is RF in an XTSL behind the passenger's seat. I'm considering buying an angle adjuster so we could hopefully get DS more upright on the driver's side, and then I would get DD an RXT and put her behind the passenger's seat. Or she could go in the XTSL, and DS could go in the RXT.

Anyway, if an XTSL fits in my car, will an RXT fit? Will an AA help us get a couple more inches of front-to-back space for DS? What other seats should I look at?

Thanks!

They are the sane size so yes the RXT will fit. An angle adjuster should buy you a few inches of room which should help.

I'd look at the Complete Air in addition to the Radian--it used to be their model with the base and premium LATCH connectors was the SE or XL I think? Not sure what it's called now that they upped the limits.

Do you know how much front-to-back difference there is between a Radian and a CA?

So the complete air and radian are very similar then? Do they install about the same? I love the radian in our car WITH the angle adjuster but without it it takes up too much space. I am wondering if the complete air would install ok or not because it would take up too much space.

If you install it at the line level to ground, the Complete Air takes up a ton of room but if you install it more upright, it takes up much less room.

Would I be able to install a CA more upright for my 5 month old?

Yes, if you're comfortable going against the manufacturer's instructions.
