Links for RFing after 2 yrs?

So DS is 2.5 and I get a load of crap from my MIL everytime I see her about him RFing and I am so sick of it. I need link on why RFing to the limits of the seat/ as long as possible is so much safer. All the ones I find are old links from before the new recs were made to age 2, I need some great links that talk about after age 2, and up to age 4 ish.

Also any blogs or pages that have LOTS of pics of older kids RFing, the more pics in one spot the better, I dont want to send MIL searching for pics on google, I want to just provide a link for her, KWIM?

Thanks!!

I'll come back tomorrow with some links, and youtube videos.

www.car-seat.org
www.carseat.se (I think) It's about the swedes. They have been rf their toddlers since the 50s-60s. They have loads of great info.

Thank you, I will look at those and watch for more links from you tomorrow. All the videos I am finding on Youtube still just quote the 1 yr 20 pound rule...

I always cry at this story.

Pictures of Extended rf'ing kids.

More pictures of rf'ing kids.

This video is short and to the point.

Another video, with links in the description. The top link is recent and has even more links.

Re: Links for RFing after 2 yrs?

AFAIK there are no actual studies that show a signicant safety increase for RF in children over age 2. The physics tells us that it is, in fact, safer, BUT we can't really quantify that added safety after age 2.

Oh ok, that's what I was thinking too - physics! I guess RF following Swedish guidelines would not be a bad choice
