Re: Punkin Weekly Chat 4/15 - 4/22
My first thought would have been BP too, Kim, but sounds like yours is great. Could definitely be iron - did they check that in your labs at the beginning? Anemia can definitely do all kinds of weird things to you, and it would be easy to fix with supplements.

Re: Punkin Weekly Chat 4/15 - 4/22
I have some catching up to do with all of you ladies......
Jenny, I am sooooo relieved for you that your ultrasound went well!! So is your due date moved up a week then? When is it now? Quote:
Elise and sillyutalktome, my heart goes out to you. I can't imagine still feeling sick and feeling so sick that you need meds. Praying that it passes soon! Quote:
Kim, how terrifying your experience must have been!! I have yet to experience something like that. When I think about the stories other moms have of taking their kids to the ER for various sicknesses or accidents I just shudder. I pray that God will give me the strength to handle it if/when it comes. I guess sometimes you just have to put on your big girl panties. Speaking of big girl panties, DD is potty trained!! The only issue is that she now says she has to go potty whenever we are out even when she doesnt' and I think it's just b/c she thinks going in a public restroom is a novelty. I am watching a 7 month old baby now two days a week in addition to the toddler boy that I watch. It is always SUCH an adjustment for everyone, but the kids and baby are happy --- it's only me that's stressed b/c I'm trying to make the adjustment for everyone smooth and getting used to cleaning up, making snacks, etc while watching the lil' guy and making sure the toddlers don't smother him with "love" (dd) or jump on him (dc boy). After the first day of watching the baby, I got a moment of "Oh my God I have to do all of THIS again?" It's not that I'm not excited or regretting getting pregnant, not at all, it's just a reality check after dealing with a very well-behaved and independent toddler for so long. You forget about the high chair, more frequent feeding, burping, and not being able to communicate w/ spoken language. Oh well. Bring it on!!

Re: Punkin Weekly Chat 4/15 - 4/22
Oh Kim, I feel for you. My son has asthma and we have been to the hospital before in the middle of the night due to bronchiospasms where he couldn't breath. It's just horrible. So sorry you have to go through that!
Elise and sillyutalktome, I am also still on zofran (and suffering the painful effects of it) at nearly 16 weeks just so I can function to take care of my 2 other kids. Even on it, I'm still running to the trash can throwing up. Ughhh!!! I think 20 weeks is about the time where I start feeling relief. Just counting down!!

Oh Amy I hope you feel better soon! My doctor added in Reglan and that has helped with the motility issue of Zofran. Lol.
Joni - Very exciting that you may find out the sex of the babies tomorrow! I am hoping to find out at my ultrasound on Tuesday!

Re: Punkin Weekly Chat 4/15 - 4/22
Thanks for the sympathies! I feel much better now =) And I have been reminded that I never have to go through the same thing again, hehe. I'm actually going back to work tomorrow, I work part time in a day care/preschool. Everything should be okay for me to do, I will just push diaper changes off onto others since I'm not supposed to lift more than 10 lbs....mwahahaha.

Re: Punkin Weekly Chat 4/15 - 4/22
Just found out my bro and his wife are expecting their first baby - and she's due only a week after me!!! SO excited for them! They are the kind of folks who are very independent, love doing whatever they want whenever they want, have very nice things...so I am very interested to see how they change once the baby comes

Eileen, that's a really sweet idea about the pregnancy survival package! Is she craving anything? If you know what she's craving then maybe you could send her some snacks she would like, some Tums for heartburn, some tummy butter, a Bella Band, etc... All depending on how much you want to spend. Excited for your family!
