Re: Errands with newborn! Advice?

I pull out the bucket frame. They are so worth every penny for quick errands/preschool run when you don't want to mess around and just be in and out.

I love my ring sling for things like that. I was worried at first about a learning curve, because I get frustrated with things like that, but YouTube or diagrams online made it easy to figure out. And, ring slings are adjustable and you don't have to fret over making sure you buy the exact right size for yourself.

You mamas must have more patience than me. I don't have the patience to get baby out of the bucket for the 5 minute errand! They scream too much getting in and out.

Re: Errands with newborn! Advice?

If it's just going to be a quick in and out, no line thing, then I'd just bring the carseat in. If there's a line and it might be a bit, I'd wear the baby.

Re: Errands with newborn! Advice?

I did it the not so safe method (hubs left for deployment when she was 2 weeks old) I'd get the boxes out the car and put them on the hood. Then I'd get the baby out (didnt use bucket car seat) then grab my two packages hoping someone would be going out or in at the same time. The baby carrier made these things much easier, but she wasnt a fan for awhile, and would cry. Logically one package at a time prob would have made more sense, but they were usually on the slightly larger and heavier side with a small one.

Re: Errands with newborn! Advice?

I loved my moby for the first few months- you can take them in and out without taking it off and it was so cuddly cozy. I don't know what I would have done without it. Though my lo didn't cry getting in and out of the carseat until much older. Now he's walking and I still love having a carrier- (now a mei tai)
