Best probiotics for the least money?

So I have my GBS test in 3 wks and the NP suggested starting probiotics now (well, last week) vs the week before as I had previously heard. I eat a good amount of greek yogurt, but I want to supplement as well. I saw most came with about a month's supply which is perfect for me, but there is a huge difference in prices! For example, the target brand was $18 and this other brand was $10. And then of course there were way more expensive ones. These were the caplets that didn't need refrigeration. What have you taken or recommend? I can't spend a lot, though :/. TIA!

Re: Best probiotics for the least money?

I really like Natures Way (I take the basic capsule form). They are rated pretty well and DS takes the chewable form. It's made a difference with him and helped him recover from his stomach bug pretty fast.

Oh, I should add I was drinking Kefir throughout most of the pregnancy, eating lots of yogurt, and even taking probiotics but still tested positive. However, I'm not regretting taking it because now the antibiotics won't do as much gut damage.

I'd drink kefir over eating Greek/regular yogurt. Lots more probiotics! Lifeway brand usually has coupons all over the web too.

Lifeway has lots of flavors of kefir, and even a greek yogurt flavor, if that matters at all.

I like the Lifeway Probugs kefir. It's whole milk and really easy to drink (mild and fruity) because it's for kids.

I have gotten the whole foods probiotics (brand name) and they were reasonably priced and effective. You can also make your own yogurt- it's cost-effective, simple, and much more beneficial than store-bought.

The cheapest ones that I purchased that my nutritionist rec'd is PB8, they're in the cold section. I paid $14 a week ago. Usually I buy them online at www.hacres.com, they're stronger but they're more expensive.
