Help donating milk

So I definitely have an oversupply and would love to donate some of my freezer stash. My Dd is 12 weeks and while I've had two days where my milk seemed to stall out, in general I'm pumping up to 15 oz per 10 min pumping session at work. I'm dairy free so I would love to donate to a dairy free baby. I also have 170oz stored from before I was dairy free. I can't use our milk bank since I had blood transfusions after delivery. I listed the milk on HM4HB but haven't really had any bites. I expected it to be easier to find a home for my milk! Any suggestions?

I was really holding my breath hoping you were nearby. I guess I expected bm to be a hit commodity but I guess not! I'll keep waiting... I'm sure someone will be in need eventually.

Re: Help donating milk

I was going to say HM4HB, our local list milk goes FAST! You could try posting outside of your local HM4HB and see... We're in Southern Ontario, but know there are frequently moms looks for dairy free milk, which as you said is a hard to find commodity! Wonder how it would be driving across the border :P

If you want, I'd gladly post on our local page to see if there was interest, if so, do you want to PM me how they could get in touch and where abouts in Illinois for an estimate of distance?? Just a thought!

I'll probably wait until summer to de-stash my dairy free milk. I have probably 300 oz of it saved right now but I want to keep it just on case for now. I'd definitely will ship the dairy free milk when the time comes but I'll keep looking for someone here that may need the milk with dairy. I'm sure someone will come up eventually.
Is there a website that is more active than HM4HB?

Re: Help donating milk

Hm4hb has an active Facebook page, is that what you use? Also maybe attend a la leche meeting to network, and let your lactation consultant know.

Yes, I use HM4HB Illinois Facebook page. I'll check out my local LL meeting this summer if I don't have luck before then. Thanks so much.
