Knitters-Hookers-Spinners-Dyers April 23-April 29

New Thread guys.

How do you get past fiber block? I'm referring more specifically to getting back to work on my socks that have seit for weeks and weeks and weeks :-)

I hope this finds everyone well. Working hard to close out a co-op and prepare for a stock.

tim.

Sometimes it takes sheer force, and other times, I just have to admit defeat and frog. I did that recently with one of my projects that just sat and sat on the needles. You can see the original project, as well as how long it sat on the needles, here: http://www.ravelry.com/discuss/becom...03/651-675#670

Here are the lucets that Ross and I made yesterday:

I had a shawl OTN for.ev.er. I didn't have much left to do on it, but it sat for almost a year. I FINALLY finished it a few weeks ago. I still have to block it but it feels very rewarding to have it done (no to mention having the needles and all those stitch markers back! )

Amanda, those look great!

My best cure for fiber block is to find a new pattern that needs the needles and markers. Or just plow through it and be done...and post pictures here! I have one sitting right now that I just can't get into...

Just finished some cabled shorties and will post pics after blocking.

Love all the projects!

I got this one when I bought the kids' X-mas gifts and still haven't used it. The one above is beautiful!

I do like them and use them. At first, I started with a mangled fork, but my husband really likes wood working. So, I drew up the design for the above one, and he's made several since. We had a few prototypes that just didn't work for various reasons, prongs too wide, etc. My personal one is made of pine, stained fuschia to match my spinning wheel.

:cough: the above ones are for sale in my store.

I had my DD's In Threes cardigan on the needles for almost a year - haha! I had TOTAL fiber block with it - I actually didn't knit on it for like 7 months because I was so sick of it. Then one day I just forced myself to start knitting on it again and found the love again.

Just finished dyeing up a Christmas colorway for an order - I'll post pics after I reskein it. It looks good unskeined, if I do say so myself - I can't wait to see it reskeined!

I have fiber block as well...I HAVE to finish that second colorwork mitten for my grandma, but its just soooo time consuming!

I'm going to try to press through...I have a few items I'm going to knit in MadMay12 (Madelinetosh yarn event on Ravelry) so I really need to get this second mitten done or it will be over a month before I pick it up again
