Birth Hopes/Plans

Other then that everything else is delayed, and no other shots

Planning on a midwife hospital birth, but I'm prepared for a UC (my last 2 were UC) because I have very short labors. All 3 of my births have been around 3 hours total, and baby was out in 1 or 2 pushes. *If* I make it to the hospital in time, I am hoping to be left alone, no meds or interventions whatsoever, no nurses/dr/midwife telling me what to do or how to do it. Then for the baby I want delayed cord cutting, no eye ointment/vitK, no circ, rooming in, no bath, no bottle/paci.

Although a part of me wants to have a UC, there is also a part of me wanting to be in a hospital and to be "taken care of", is that weird? I want my meals brought to me, I want silence (because there's none of that at home!), I want to lay in bed and be lazy (till they tell me to leave, lol!) I also want pain meds for the afterbirth pains that will bring me to my knees

I am planning on an unmedicated hospital birth. And i just found a local doctor who is not c-section happy, and actually knows how to do a vaginal birth. Which is rare here. And i would really like for the doctor to NOT do an episiotomy on me (which apparently is standard procedure on vaginal births here... Ugh)

I plan on refusing hep B, but baby will get vaccinated against TB. I havent yet visitee the maternity ward of the hospital, but i will find out their procedures, and DH will be with me, so if the baby needs to be taken out of the room, DH will go with him.

I've often considered this... go to hospital just to get REST and QUIET and ME TIME! But then I remember that it probably wouldn't happen. Nurses are always coming in, people coming to visit (oh wait, nobody comes to visit), and the hospital beds are soooo uncomfy, they make my joint problems worse.... so yeah, I think home is best for me.

I know this sounds really weird, but I'm hoping my water breaks. I've always either gone into labor naturally or had a scheduled c-section. I've never had the chance to feel what it's like to have my water break. I know obviously it's not bliss or anything, just always wanted to have that experience. Since this is my last pregnancy, I hope it happens.

My water has broke, at home, with all 5 of my kids! I just keep assuming things will start the same way this time but who knows..maybe my contractions will start first!
