How much would you pay for a used........

bike trailer. It's In Step, looks kinda like this one;

http://www.ebay.com/itm/InSTEP-Quick...item35b21c3899

only without the wheel where it attaches to your bike. It sounds like it got used a lot, over the course of 3 years, by 2 owners. The first owner didn't use for very long but the current owners have used it a lot. It looks like it's in good shape.

We just bought one at the salvation army with the wheel in front, but the covering is faded, and smells moldy we payed 31.99, if it had been in better condition we were willing to pay $50 for it. Not sure if that helps you, or not.

Re: How much would you pay for a used........

I bought a used Winchester trailer off craigslist for $70, I believe... it had been used by a family with two kids that eventually outgrew it, so it saw quite a bit of use. My advice is to make sure the seat buckles work, there aren't any tears in the fabric, that the latch to join it to the bike works correctly (if at all possible, have the seller demonstrate on a bike so you KNOW it works). We really enjoy ours!

Re: How much would you pay for a used........

Thanks mamas!! She's asking $60 for it OBO. I was considering offering $50, dh said offer $40, but that was before I knew it was only $100-$150 new. Not I'm not sure. I feel bad, like I'm lowballing or something if I only offer $40, but I may have to suck it up and do it..

Thank you!

Re: How much would you pay for a used........

I paid $80 for ours on CL. However, our brand is $300 - no sorry, it was in the low $200s - new and it was still new as the guy bought it, never used it. I have used it for over 2 years now and it is as good as new. These things have a long life.

That is not what I wanted to say though... about the wheel in the front: It comes off. If you look, you'll notice it has a set of handle bars too at the back. That is because it is a convertible. It is a bike trailer that transforms into a jogging stroller when you reach your destination. You can ride with the bars and wheel on or off. I found it slows me down if I do and the front wheel can be cumbersome... so we put it in the storage section in the back if I want to use it... which is rarely.

Just thought I'd let you know that it is more than just a trailer... it is a convertible trailer.... LOL
