Baby Alpaca sweater
I bought several sweaters at the thrift store yesterday. They were on sale for $1.09 and I had a coupon for 50% off my entire purchase. I came home and washed everything. Now one of the sweaters has a horrible chemical smell. Kind of like what the chemicals for a perm smell like. I read the tag and it says it is 100% baby alpaca. The care tag says dry clean only. The sweater still looks good but just smells. Is there anything I can do to safe the sweater and get rid of the smell? Thanks in advance for your help.
If it helps I washed in cold water with Ecos detergent and did not put in the dryer.

Re: Baby Alpaca sweater
Maybe soak in some scented wool wash or add a little lavender oil to the it.
