Re: Mama cloth
bumping this up because i have questions!! I've never worn mama cloth, but I'm interested to try some for postpartum. How do you wash your MC? With your diapers? How many PP would be a good start? I have a lot of overnights left over from last baby but I just hate the bulky diaper feel to them. . . I'd be interested to hear any advice on getting a stash started!

Re: Mama cloth
With mama cloth on heavy days I tend to use a 2-3 hour rule, depending on the flow. Obviously for a week or more it's going to be heavy-heavy. So I would say 8-12. I have 10 post partum and I think 5 heavy, so that when they're laundered I'm not completely out. I normally, immediately rinse mama cloth, and then soak in a solution of CD friendly detergent and water, since they are more prone to staining. I normally just keep a tupperware container under the sink. I wash either with normal baby laundry or cloth diapers (washed in CD friendly soap).

Re: Mama cloth
i recommend 12 to wash every 2-3 days. i dont rinse/soak. just toss dirty ones in the wetbag with the soiled diapers. cold rinse, hot wash with dawn, cold rinse and dry. no stains, stink or other issues. ive also washed mine with tgowels and sheets when no one was in diapers. i just finished snapping 6 overnight/PP pads and 12 regular/heavy pads and that will be plenty for me. i also have older ones( i think i made 'my' last batch 4 years ago lol) in a pinch, but they arent as pretty

Re: Mama cloth
I would say 12-14 is a good start, I have alot more then that now but I'm not sure how heavy my pp bleeding will be so I wanted to make sure I had lots, I also don't like washing every day lol. I do wash mine seperat from diapers and I put mine into a seperate wet bag, don't rinse or anything beforehand and then when I wash I do a cold rinse cycle then a warm wash with soap and a cold rinse. Some of mine have stains but I figure meh they're mine, I'm the only who sees them and stains dont bug me.
