MH is going to be able to go here for sure, My principal and the district person agree that having different policies for in town schools and rez schools is not fair. So yippy she will be here. now we have to wait to find out of it is full day or 1/2 day

A child of a teacher can go to the preschool for the school they teach at even if it is outside the attendance district for the in town programs. The rez schools the kids get in only based on test scores and she will test to high to get into the program.

Ours is based on how much help they need to be ready for kindy and if they will get it without the program. For instance if you have your child registered for another program I think they have less of an chance. And I think if the teacher likes your kid you have a better chance too. But kids that have severe learning challenges would go to the county program where they have specialists.

Oh and supposedly on test scores too but Mari only missed a few points and still got in.
That is good Jen. Teachers don't get many perks with their job, that totally makes it worthwhile!

The preschool teachers actually like it because typically the kids are often ready for school and can serve as an exemplar of sorts for the other kids.

Here most pay for private pre k. There is a upk program however they do take lower income first which i find unfair it is UPK. We do also have head start. The chances of my kids getting in to upk were slim to none.
