Re: Basically TGIF! Yay!

Here, whether you go to preschool has a lot to do with income. We were the poorest family at E's co-op preschool. But at his public school last year and this year, we are well off. Next year, we'll be back to being on the lower end of family incomes, since he is changing schools.

Got the last of the errands I needed to do before leaving done. Now we're on our way to pick E up from school.

Re: Basically TGIF! Yay!

Why is E changing schools, Mel?

I'm sure we have Head Start and all that here. But it doesn't matter, we don't qualify and then there is the potty issue. Private school here is VERY expensive. For Ian to go to the preschool at the girls' current school district - $25/day for half day, $40 for a full day, each day. At it's not at the school the girls go to. In the new district, $525/mo for half day or $935/mo for full day M-F. Obviously WAY out of my budget, he's going two days a week and it's going to really kill us to do it. But it is in the same school as the girls', and it way higher ranked and stuff.

The colors are so cheap now. I keep looking at them. But I obviously don't need one. Maybe once Mari is a more confident solo reader I will pass mine down to her and get a fancy one. But for now it would be silly here.

E is changing schools because he is going into French Immersion in the fall. It is at a school a bit further away, and he will be bussed there. I hope he enjoys it.

Home with E. Filling out a form so that Ru and E are able to travel to the US without me in June. Just so that they don't think that Ru is trying to kidnap him.
