Missed period?
Hello everyone,
I am EBF'ing my baby for almost 9 months now! Yay me! I got my period back at 7 months, it was the normal period, moderate bleeding for 6 days, what I'm normally use to but then it disappeared. So as of right now, I am 7 weeks late! Nothing changed in my schedule or diet, baby is still eating the same .. I'm confused!I have already pee'd on 3 sticks in the past 3 weeks and all I get is negative readings. Has this ever happened to anyone before??Also, if it helps anything.. this is my 3rd baby. 1st baby: Breast/Pump for two months then formula fed - period back at 3 months, normal and consistent 2nd baby: EBF for 18 months - period back at 8 months, normal and consistent. |

Re: Missed period?
I read somewhere that your periods can be very irregular when you first get them back. I can't remember where though. I was looking it up because my first daughter is 9 months old and i still haven't gotten my period yet. So i'm really no help ;-)

Re: Missed period?
I think that's perfectly normal. Mine started at about 9 months PP, but then it was another 8 weeks until it came again. This last cycle was right on time, though. I think it's normal for your cycles to be irregular at the beginning, especially if you are still breastfeeding.

Re: Missed period?
With my first, I had a period right at 3 months pp, and then it was almost 3 months before I had another!

Re: Missed period?
Right now I am late too. My cycle came back when dd was 6 months old. It's been pretty regular for the last four months. Now...it's late and pregnancy tests come up negative. I'm actually going in today for a blood test. I ordinarily wouldn't be so anxious, but if I am pregnant, I will need a walking cath in by 8 weeks.
