Kirkland Users...

Which version do you use and how does it work for you?

I am trying to do some research on this detergent... and it seems like there are a lot of different varieties so I'm pretty confused. The search feature is not being helpful.

So far I've found...

The Kirkland Signature Envionmentally Friendly Version (lavender scented- wondering if this is fragrance or lavender eo)- has enzymes but none of that other jazz

The Kirkland Signature Institutional Laundry Detergent... that comes in a big 28lb bucket... and is super cheap

The Kirkland Signature Ultra- which is supposed to be the one most similar to Tide I think?

And the Kirkland Signature Ultra Free and Clear

Am I missing any? Reviews please?

Thanks!

Re: Kirkland Users...

I use the free and clear. I have only been cloth diapering for about 2.5 months so my experience is limited. So far it's been fine. I do notice after an extra rinse there are still suds but I haven't had any issues with repelling...though my main stash is flats and covers with a few daycare pockets and a few flip inserts. It gets them clean. I use almost the recommended amount for an he machine (I have a fl) and I have pretty hard water.

Oh and I do have to use a bit of bleach once, maybe twice a month to keep ammonia at bay in the night diapers.

Re: Kirkland Users...

subbing....interested in answers you get. especially the industrial....its as cheap as making my homemade.....and comes in a big plastic container.

I'm wondering if the signature ultra is tide as well....since its in a red box and sitting next to the powdered tide ultra....mmmmm.

Thought about just trying the industrial on clothes....before the newbie gets here...to see how it performs....I can always return it...they take anything back!

I'm curious too. The price of Tide and Rockin Green is killing me with our hard water.

I've used the liquid Kirkland Ultra and F&C on diapers with no problem. (I currently use the Ecos brand from Costco because I got tired of the smell of the others.) I used the industrial powder on clothes for about a year a while back, and it seemed to work just fine. I was single and in school at the time, so my clothes weren't super grungy, though. HTH!
