AFM- I'm starting to feel...disconnected from everything...like, i'm on my own, i am the one carrying this baby, and I am the one who will work to push it out...it's not like, a negative thing, but more like a personal withdraw to focus on the upcoming challenge...Is anyone else feeling this way? I know i get this same feeling when DH deploys, that I am the one who must do this, and I need to focus on me/my family for a little while (and, um, I'm super b!tchy and have no problem telling others to go away during these times)

and for those not on facebook, I had my appt this morning. Still closed, which i find odd, considering i'm 38w3d, and with ALL 3 of my babies, including the first, i was atleast 2cm by now, and 3-4cm with #2 and #3. HOWEVER, the baby is in an oblique presentation and perhaps that's why. Going to the Chiro thursday and starting spinning babies to move her.

This is what an oblique lie looks like. I suspected it, and midwife confirmed it today by feel. So head down, but not in the correct position. Hoping to line her up and avoid a c-sec

It's official. I'm 39 weeks..Somebody tell me it has to happen sometime this week..(never gone over). Never thought after 8 weeks of meds, I'd be THIS pregnant.

I passed my Tuesday checkup with out drama or issues. Yeah for no hospitalization this week (so far!) Most of the day I had a general blah feeling, but had a bit of a crampy feeling and lower back pain. It just felt different not like contractions or the flu or anything... just ick. I ate some sugar and drank some water and forced myself to muddle along. My mom said I fell asleep during my NST. lol. I was exhausted for some reason and thought I might have, it I didn't it was a close thing. But afterwards I felt better! Fluid is still low.. only 6.58 today. But I had 3 nice big pockets (at least 2cm x 2cm)to get that number. My OB wants the number above 5 but really wants those pockets. My decreased fluid is another reason I doubt my edd... but I'm just going with the flow. I checked out the OB on-call for the month. It hasn't been mentioned or set but I imagine I will be induced on the 22nd. (My mother also finds it amusing that my OB is on-call on my bday and thinks I could have the baby then.) That is my OB's last on-call date before the edd. I start cervical checks next Tuesday and have another growth scan (as well as all the other testing I do on Tuesdays. Guess I should work on a birthing plan) so I'm sure we'll talk about it then. The only reason I like induction is I get my OB... not someone else. I chose my doctor for a reason and don't want anyone to mess with me or my baby if I can help it.

So dh and I dtd last night and ever since I've been having mild but regular contractions, like every 15 min or so, plus I'm seeing some mucous on the tp about every time. I'm feeling like we're getting ready to do this. Oh and today is my edd.

LOL, nope, but that would be funny. I'm in Louisiana.

I found a disgusting blob of ickiness in the toilet this morning, which I can only assume is (at least part of) my mucous plug. For some reason, and I really can't explain why because "mucous plug" is pretty disgusting-sounding, I didn't expect it to look that gross.

Good luck solnishka7, hope the induction is a breeze with no complications.

I have an appointment at 10:30 today and am hoping they will admit me today and induce. I'm having more contractions again, but nothing is staying even or at least noticeably even. I know they will be inducing by the weekend and I honestly don't mind if they do it sooner, I just want this baby out. But who knows what they will do. As for nesting, that has long gone. I'm so glad my mom is here to help.
