OK. so I bought some grovia stay dry inserts from a brand new seller who had no feedback yet.

The seller never mentioned they were seconds and I am pretty sure she just added the part about how she washed though I'm not certain of that. I agreed to pay $30ppd for 4, and we finally agreed on 6 for $45ppd. She said they were only used for 4 months in what was a large rotation as there were many inserts available for sale. When I got them they were marked as seconds and they stunk and felt 'caked'. I pm'd her about the condition and that they were seconds and asked her to take them back and refund the $ or give a partial refund on condition. . She messeged back they she said they were seconds in the post. I would not have bought seconds for that price. If its $18 for 2 new why would I pay 3 less for seconds? I wouldn't. I had said the condition was horrible and they were going to need at the very least be stripped. She said they were fine and only had some stains. After she ignored my request to refund or partial refund I said I'd try and strip them. They still smelled after being soaked overnight in RNG and double washed and made my other diapers smell. She then emailed mey email addy she got through pp and said there was no reason to refund. I said I wanted a full/partial refund and would return the items if she wanted. I asked her to agree or I would leave negative feedback. That was saturday. She hasn't replied. Should I leave neg feedback? Can't she just turn around and do the same to me if she wants? I have a low # of feedback so I don't want it to deter from further deals as I have diapers and stuff I'd like to sell/trade/buy and don't want it to affect that, plus I really like the community=-) Sorry it's so long. I just feel like I'm damned if I do damned if I don't. And i don't want another mama to get dupped as she still has stuff listed and doesn't mention they are seconds, even though she told me everything she had was seconds.

I think you might be stuck with them due to the fact that you washed and stripped them. I could be wrong though, there are much more experienced mamas that will give you a better answer. I also don't think you can link the post because that would be "outing" the seller, which isn't allowed.

I'd contact a mod about it for sure, especially if she is a new DS member

first off you need to take the link for the thread out, its against DS rules to "out" someone

secondly I am so sorry to hear you had a bad FSOT experience there are a few things you can do before leaving negative FB (though even if she does refund you i would still leave negative, her behavior is unacceptable) First you should contact a mod and let them know about the situation, they can also get the post in its original form (to see if she added the info about 2nds after the fact) the mods can over some mediation for the 2 of you to see if you are able to work it out. You can also file and escalate with PP as not as described, you will be required to return the inserts at your cost but you will be refunded the full amount you paid for them

oh i missed the part about washing them first, i believe you are stuck with them now, though a mod might be able to help you work out some sort of partial refund.

You should definitely edit out the link the the thread as this that is considered outing which isn't allowed. There are some that say if you wash them they are yours but there are also exceptions to that as well. I'd PM a mod for help right away. They can also restore the original FSOT thread to show what has been posted and or edited. Good luck!

im pm a mod bc they can see the original post w/o any edits. i am confused why 10 boosters was $47ppd but you paid $2 less for 6 but not the point for future reference dont wash anything that you are unhappy with, that means you take ownership of it. i do think she was wrong in not disclosing that they are seconds. that is misrepresentation, especially if they are marked in some way that clearly disclose they are seconds. can you fine with PP for "item not as described"?

ets: i do think that washing them is a moot point on the feedback. she did not disclose that they were seconds and wouldnt work with you so that alone would warrant something other than positive.
