I have a question for all you talented people, I have some roving and I want to dye it but I haven't dyed roving before, anything I should do differently than with yarn? Also My mom gave me a basic little spindle, any tutorials online that you would recommend for learning to spin with it?

And just cause I think it's cute, here is a gnome I just finished for the baby Brandon auctions.

That's adorable. The colors are awesome for Jack too.

but he's ok. No stitches. I thought it needed them but it stopped bleeding.

I dyed up some yarn for trade. Gonna get me some socks!
She wanted sock yarn dyed and a trim dyed,

and my customer that got fiber in my co-op wanted more.. so she now has a total of 1lb of this coming her way. ♥ 8 from the co-op and 8 more again.

it was still damp this morning so it will go out tomorrow.

Love the red, I've been on a huge red semi-solid kick for some reason.

Don't touch it during the dye process. Especially once it's heating up. I use steam or the oven to set. On youtube there are a bunch of videos by Abby Franquemont, also libraries carry her stuff, there's a book called "Respect the Spindle" which is a great starting point

And cute gnome too!

I am almost almost done plying this sock yarn then I'll get pics up. Trying to decide my next spin. It will be for me or Pixie for the first time in what seems like ages
