My DS has a tummy ache :(
He will stop playing, hunch over and grab his tummy and say "ow, ow, ow". What can I give him to help calm his tummy? He's also a VERY picky eater, which makes it hard. All he wants is milk, but I'm not sure that's the best thing to give s kid with a belly ache.

Re: My DS has a tummy ache :(
Is this your 2yo? When was the last time he had a bm? Any fever or tenderness when you touch the belly?

Yes, it's my little man. He's had diarrhea all day (several times already), no fever, and I can't really tell if his tummy is tender or not. He'll be fine for a while, playing like normal, then all the sudden he doubles over and starts crying. I'm just not sure what might be a good food to give him since he is really picky. I know there's probably not anything I can give him medicine-wise to help, but I want to help him feel better! Poor baby...

Re: My DS has a tummy ache :(
I would skip the milk until the loose stool stops. Poor guys sounds like he has a bug for sure. Will he lick a popsicle?

I'll try. He usually doesn't like how cold they are, but maybe he'll go for it today. It's pretty hot out.

Sounds like how I've felt for the past few days. And nothing helps
![]() I have been trying to stay hydrated, so make sure he's drinking. Milk is fine - it might help his bowels actually. Offer apple sauce, toast/pancakes, etc. but he might not have much of an appetite. I have eaten so little over the past 3 days. My DD had horrible diarrhea the first day I was sick and fine since, so hopefully your LO will recover quickly like she did. She has had only a tiny appetite like me though.

Re: My DS has a tummy ache :(
Maybe a warmish bath? Sometimes they will relax in the water. Just beware of poopy surprises in the tub sometimes it works too well kwim

Re: My DS has a tummy ache :(
Maybe some gatoraid (tastes good and will keep him hydrated). I don't know if it is recommend for kids, but maybe ask a pharmacist if he can have something like mylanta. I know they make kids anti diarrhea medicine (ask pharmacist).
Good luck, I hope he feels better soon

Re: My DS has a tummy ache :(
Well, after an almost 4 hour nap, he woke up with a fever of 101.5.
