See Kai Run shoes= falling all the time?

My 23 month old can walk and run great unless he is wearing his See Kai Run shoes. They seem so comfy and fit great but they make him trip. Anyone else noticed this? Or is he the only one?

In my experience new walkers tend to fall or trip when they start wearing shoes. Also, I do NOT size up with toddler shoes for this reason. Are they the right size for your LO?

My 3 year old has normal feet and walks very well and tripped in SKRs. I think they run wide. She wears a 10 and she finally kind of fits her size 8 open toe sandals except her feet are a bit too long now. No more SKRs for us.

DS does have wide feet and they seem like they fit him very well. His toes are very close to the end and he wears other shoes the same size. He never falls in his Stride Rites or Merrels. Well not more than what would be expected for a 23 month old =)

This happened to my DD as well, she always trips when she's wearing her SKRs..I always thought it was because of the "lip" at the front of the shoe's sole, never thought to check out the width issue, interesting!

The SKRs are also too wide for my kids and caused them to fall all the time (if the shoes even stayed on). I bought one pair per kid and never bought them again.

They're great for kids with super-wide feet. Average or only slightly wide feet do not fit well in SKRs. Kids with narrow feet have no chance of fitting in them.

DS has wide feet, and that's why I specifically buy SKRs for him. I could totally see him tripping in them if they are too wide though.
