It's a girl and...
placenta previa. I think partial, but it has had me distracted all day. We had the US and I think DH was a little disappointed that it's not a boy. He tried not to show it, but I could tell. And then the midwife told us about the previa. They are going to do another US in 4 weeks to see if it is resolving itself or not. I was really hoping for a VBAC and of course no complications. Some of the info on the net is really scary! Has anyone had placenta previa go away after being diagnosed at 20 weeks?

I have no clue about placenta previa other than what the internet says, but HUGS to you and congrats on the girl! I hope that it is partial and self resolving!!

Re: It's a girl and...
Ddc. I've had a few friends with PP--two with partial and both moved, and one with complete that didn't moved. Hope yours moves up, mama!

Re: It's a girl and...
I had PP with DS.
Not to scare you, but just to be honest - Mine did resolve to a very low placenta, however I had bleeding episodes that started at 26weeks and continued regardless off and on so I was a C-S no matter what. He ended up being delivered at 35weeks... With this pregnancy I am not having any issues with it - I was freaked out from what I read for chances of it happening again.

Re: It's a girl and...
ugh. I'm hoping there will be no bleeding. After my MC it's the last thing I wanna see, even though I have been told to expect it and that little girl is healthy so far. That feeling of panic is just terrible
I am hoping that it clears so that I can avoid a c-section and possible hysterectomy, or that I make it to 39 weeks at least. I will not be eligible for FMLA until then and I don't know if they will save my job or not.
