That is so exciting FindingMercy! I've been thinking of all of you and hoping everyone is doing well. I haven't been on much b/c for some reason the DS site is running super duper slow! Like over two minutes for one page to load, no other sites or forums, just this one. Ugh!

Little update on us. We found out ours is a girl. Due in mid-August. Then last night my mother calls me to tell me someone has asked if we would consider adopting their baby due in September. Those situations never seem to turn out though, so I'm trying not to think about it too much. But of course we did not say no!

Can't type much, but we talked to her on the phone today and it went really well. All signs point to her going through with the adoption plan!

So we got more info on the twins. Mom had no prenatal care, drank heavily and smoked until 14 weeks ( but you never know, could be longer) the one girl is still on a feeding tube with possible cerebral palsy. I wish we could take them but we just don't have the resources. I feel ok with saying no honestly, I'm quite at peace though a bit sad it hasn't worked out for us.

Im sorry amy.

my dds CP ended up being very mild and we are blessed but even still her therapies are not covered at 100% and are very costly. Im glad you know your limits. The worst would be if you accepted the placement and were too overwhelmed. I have a problem accepting my limits. Its a good thing Dh is good at keeping me grounded! I dont think i would make it through another feeding tube. It was a terrible experience for us, but there was a lot going on with us at that time besides the tubie so who knows how i would handle it with a foster kiddo. Im praying i never have to though!
