Nice umbrella stroller recs?
Suggestions for strollers that might fit my needs...lightweight umbrella (easy in and out of trunk) with great handling (think soccer fields), easy to push (one handed a huge plus) without stepping on wheels/kicking it, good basket access, stable (won't topple with a bag on the back and no kid in seat), comfortable for 1 1/2 year old, or 4 yr old (so, a 55 lb limit would be good), nice sunshade, cup holder & place for keys. Under $200.
Thanks!

I love my mclauren. It is light enough o carry up subway platforms. It will tip if there's a big bag on the back and no kid in the we it will tip though. The only way to avoid that is to get one of those heavy strollers.

Another vote for the Maclaren (we've had our Volo for years), although it will tip when empty with a bag on the back, but I'd be surprised if you could find an umbrella/lightweight stroller that wouldn't... The Volo doesn't come with a cupholder, but you can easily put an aftermarket one on.

Re: Nice umbrella stroller recs?
If you need an umbrella fold, a Mac is my number one choice. We have a quest and love it. I would get an aftermarket sunshade (we have kiddopotomus - $15) and cupholder (we have a sunshine kids/diono parent organizer - $10).
You could try the Chicco Liteway. It's like a Mac, but cheaper. My DS doesn't like the crotch strap placement (causes him to slouch), so it's a no-go for us, but other people like it. (My DD likes it fine). If you don't mind a flat-fold, my fave stroller right now is my BJCM. It's only a lb or so heavier than my Mac, but the push is WAY better, it's faster to fold, and the canopy can't be beat. There are still a few 2011s out there for $150-160. Once you add an aftermarket parent tray (see above - $10), it can still be had for less than $200.

I have a Chico that I love and it wasn't too expensive - I think around $50.

Re: Nice umbrella stroller recs?
I have a Mia Moda that we love...although it's not that easy to pus one handed. We bought it over a few of the others because it's taller and dh and I don't have to stoop to push it and we dont' kick the back wheels when we walk.
It looks like they've changed the design though...the one online isn't like the one we have.

+ http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/re.../dp/B000SMWUPS[/url] = ![]() I've had my diaper bag hanging on there without DS in it and it didn't tip, but I only have one kiddo and I don't overload my diaper bag, so it might tip if you carry a lot of stuff. I don't think you can push it with one hand either. It's perfect otherwise though. It comes in different colors, too.
