Carrier rec's

I want a new carrier for my one year old in an effort to help solve nap troubles and wear when we aren't using the stroller. I have a munchkin ring sling that I loved from 4-8 months, and a buckle carrier that my husband uses if he wears her.

I need:
Easy to put on/off myself
Cool in summer (live in Houston)
Can nurse in it
Something with wide age range
I'm petite-107 lbs and 5'3 ish
Under $50

I was looking at Infantino's mei tai and their sync wrap bc theyboth look easy to use and good overall...I prefer something mainstream but not totally opposed to etsy/etc sellers.

I would look on the FSOT for a use Babyhawk or Toddlerhawk as they will be supportive and better quality than infantino. A buckle carrier/ssc would be more supportive, but would be more $$

I know Infantino has a bad rep in the babywearing community, but I have one of their Mei Tais and I am pretty pleased with it. You can get them really cheap on ebay. Good luck!

I really like the look of their mei tei too, and it has great reviews on amazon. Their sync comfort wrap looks really nice too.

How much wrapping is involved with a mei tei/what's the process of using it in say the hip carry?

There are tons of mei tai videos on youtube- you may want t o check them out first. Yes infantino pretty blatently copied some other WAHM and smaller company mei tai designs when they made theirs. They also knew about the risks of the bag style slings long before they actually did the recall...The Babyhawk ones are great as are the freehand and catbird brand ones, you should be able to find aused one in your price range.
