Update - 5/9 It's out for delivery!

My turn - gotta love the USPS - this is an ebay transaction...grrr!

Here's what the 'lovely' DC# states:

Notice Left May 04, 2012, 8:24 am ELLIJAY, GA 30540

Sorting Complete May 04, 2012, 8:26 am ELLIJAY, GA 30540

Arrival at Post Office May 04, 2012, 7:58 am ELLIJAY, GA 30540

Expected Delivery By: May 7, 2012 Delivery Confirmation™

Notice was left at 8:24 but sorting wasn't completed until 8:26 and there are no other updates as of this morning. I do need to go to my PO today - should I have them check into this more for me?

No need. It just means the person wasn't home and they'll have to pick it up at their PO. The times are odd, but I'd give it a few days for the person to get it.

Thanks- that's what I thought too but just needed the confirmation.

It arrived, they attempted delivery, then sorted. :snort:

Another thought: was the delivery address a PO box??

I had this happen when there was postage due... Hope that's not the case for you!

Oh no, I hope not...that would be so embarrassing and the first time that ever happened when I shipped a package!

It sometimes happens to me when I check DC on items coming to me.They leave me a note saying I need to pick up a package. Our PO does not leave packges with DC. We have to pick them up and they scan them when we do.

Some small towns have all the mailboxes at the post office and don't deliver to houses. They still have normal addresses without box numbers but they are still boxes at the post office. It could be like that. Or maybe they fit the wrong button and meant to have it say sorting complete but did notice left on accident so they went back and corrected it.
