I am up early because Sadie's field trip is today. The whole elementary is going to the zoo. They are leaving at 7:00 and getting back at 5:00 this evening. All the kids are very excited. I'm going to try to be ready for school so I can just stay and work.

jack and stella are playing baby....JAck is the daddy and stella is the baby. he is carrying her around the house and tucking her in lol. Even though she weighs 40 lbs

Well my Keurig is having issues this morning and I am too annoyed to deal with it this morning so I will deal with it after school. I need to boil water for the french press now.

It's actually only four hours at the zoo. They just have to travel three hours to get there.

Ugh Cecelia. FWIW, in both TX and MI, for ALL the kids' field trips parents were never allowed to ride the bus with the kids. If you wanted to chaperone, you had to drive to the location, although they often facilitated carpooling for parents. Something about transportation costs or whatever.

Speaking of field trips, Rosie has her pioneer field trip today. She's wearing her dress, and will get a bonnet at school. I did pack her a lunch tied up in a big cloth napkin, because that's what I've always seen on TV at pioneer tourist attractions - people took their lunch in a towel, usually a meat pie or a hunk of bread with meat. So I have her a hunk of baguette, some beef jerky, a chunk of cheese, and an apple. I did cheat and put it in a ziploc before I wrapped it in the napkin with the water bottle, because I didn't want the baguette to be a brick before she ate it. I also asked her to get her teacher to send me a pic in her outfit with the bonnet, but she will have a sub so who knows if it really happens.
