I'm feel trapped like a moth in a bath!!

Seriously though I hate feeling this way. My dh is going to a wedding tonight but it's after bedtime so I dont get to go. Just once in a while I would like to get out of the house by myself that doesn't include grocery shopping or other errands.

Why can't you go? One late night for the kiddo won't be too bad- just bring your stroller or something for the baby to lay down in when she falls asleep. It is good to get out as a family sometimes!

Yeah my kid seriously freaks out if we aren't home at bedtime. Full on melt down then she is up for hours because she got herself all worked up. I dont want her ruining our friends wedding by acting crazy.

No I dont have any friends here. I've tried a couple of moms groups but haven't found anyone I've clicked with.

I totally know how you feel. We just moved to our new home and I do not know anyone. Dh knows his work buddies and goes out with them occasionally. I get NO me time b/c my ds does the same thing. If we go out later than bedtime (which for him is 7:30...he started that himself) he freaks out. I feel the same way.

Is it sad that I would be happy just to go to the grocery store or on errands alone I am REALLY hoping Dh gets home before the PO closes so I can drive 5 minutes on my own without having to load an unload everyone.

I here you though - sometimes (but not often) it sucks not being able to get out. We are going to be going through the same thing soon - DH and I are invited to a wedding in Aug and I either won't be going or will be only going for some of it.

I guess the "good" thing is it won't be long until these years are over. I mean yes it sucks right now but in 5 or 10 or 15 years we are all going to look back and long for this era in our lives
