Re: Jumping from NB to OS vs. Sized Diapers???
I got OS AIO's and OS pockets. DD was 5 lbs 13oz at birth. She didn't fit them till she was 2 months old! I actually started using the pockets at 9 lbs. I like the idea that I don't have to buy anymore diapers!(I miss diaper shopping! But I think it is the cheaper option.)

Re: Jumping from NB to OS vs. Sized Diapers???
its really hard to say what will fit because all babies are different. i had one that fit in os great at a month old and another that didnt fit into os until 2 months and some os even then was still too big. i think it depends on the shape of your baby and the diaper. there are advantages to os like you dont have to worry about sizing up, but at the same time i have had alot of problems with os diapers and being in between sizes. i really like sized diapers for my skinny guy, and os for my thicker guy, lol.

Re: Jumping from NB to OS vs. Sized Diapers???
Thanks so much for all of your opinions! I hadn't really been thinking about the bulk issue...which is one thing I really dislike in a CD! So maybe I'll stick with sized, especially since we plan to continue having more kids after this one (assuming I live through it!
) so they would probably get plenty of use, as long I was happy with them. Now to decide which brands and types of sized diapers to get!!

Re: Jumping from NB to OS vs. Sized Diapers???
I said smalls and then one size. We are using Blueberry mini-coveralls which are 6-18 lbs and then going to the regular coveralls, which I believe are considered OS, and fit from 10-40 lbs. I figure the mini provides less bulk in the beginning and will take us to the point where the OS will be a better and trimmer fit
![]() What I am having trouble with now is deciding if I should use Medium prefolds next to go right to larges XD

Re: Jumping from NB to OS vs. Sized Diapers???
My 1 month old (roughly 10lbs) is outgrowing her nb/xs diapers right now. I really like the fit of small BG AIOs, but don't have enough of those. I also have a 17 month old wearing BG OS so I tried one on the newbie with the nb insert and it fits perfectly at the smallest setting. I was surprised!
ETA: It's not bulky at all.

Re: Jumping from NB to OS vs. Sized Diapers???
I prefer sized diapers with the exception of Bumgenius One Size Elementals which were trim enough to fit my baby when he was 10lbs and 3 weeks old.
![]() I plan to sell my stash of Bumgenius Elementals soon (I want to hoard them just in case but realistically, I shouldn't!). They are all greens and blues and 1 clementine. I think I have around 20 or so. They're all in excellent condition. PM me if you are interested!
