free patterns for training pants??
I NEED to make DS some training pants -- I'd love to find a pattern to make some that look like real undies (like blueberry) -- any ideas?
or if there is a really GOOD pattern but it does cost, link that too -- maybe it won't be too much. thanks!

Re: free patterns for training pants??
I'm in the same boat mama. Here is a free pattern just recommended to me for the blueberry style: http://www.babyvilleboutique.com/blog
The link is toward the bottom for the pattern. Also, google "Ditto Daddy Boxer Trainer pattern". |

Re: free patterns for training pants??
The Katrina soaker pattern can also be used. I made one recently for my DS using the size small with the med rise, but he is a string bean

Re: free patterns for training pants??
Yes it is the soaker pattern. It works fine as knit underwear for a free pattern. Some moms have even modified it to have snapping sides, but I like the up/down for my DS. The small size with the med rise was perfect for my skinny DS.

Re: free patterns for training pants??
Pull on trainers are super easy to make. Use the Katrina pattern and size down & I cut the crotch more narrow. If you already have inserts or prefolds you can re-purpose them as sewn in soakers
My little princess modeling some knit underwear style trainers...

Re: free patterns for training pants??
There is a thread a few spots down where I ask about Katrina's as a trainer. Just made one up last night and love it! I will make some mods next time. I posted a pic in the thread.

Re: free patterns for training pants??
I find they work fine for day trainers. But for a heavy wetting 4-6 year old at night any trainer pattern doesn't stack up, paid or free.

She also has a trainer that looks better than the others I have tried. http://www.kaylasclothkits.com/item_47/KCK-Snap-On-Pull-Off-Diaper-and-Trainer-Pattern.php
