And on a day off, YOU take some time for yourself, if you aren't already. Even if it's just to grocery shop in peace. They will figure it out for themselves.

Totally agree. If he wants to watch TV or play video games, maybe he can find a show or game that your son can do too. Maybe screen time is bad, but bonding with dad probably trumps that.

I would be patient too. Some people just aren't good with babies or littler kids but are fantastic once they are old enough for big kid games and activities. Your DH may find it easier to connect with son when he's older.
