Britax Roundabout 55 and a small baby
I am looking for a new carseat for our youngest (four months, eight pounds) since her Perego SIP 30/30 will expire soon. We used the Perego with our older child until he hit about ten pounds and then moved him into an EFTA. I'm just not a big fan of the baby bucket seats, so we are going to get a convertible seat for the baby rather than a new Perego. A friend is selling her Roundabout 55 and I know that it has been well cared for. Would this be a good seat for a small baby? I know I will probably need to get the infant wedge to add to it (the one sold and tested by Britax for this model) but wanted to get some opinions on the seat. Thanks!

It's a great seat. At four months you shouldn't need that insert. Britax seats are very user friendly.

At four months, you wouldn't generally need the insert, but at 8 lbs, you might.

I doubt you will need the insert. I started using our ra55 when my son was 4 days old. He was around 7lbs 9oz and 20.5 inches long.
