Fetal arrhythmia....anyone else experience this?

So I went last week for my normal OB visit, and my dr noticed the baby's heartbeat sounded odd (and so did I). So she sent me to the high risk ultrasound to have them check it out. Mind you I had to wait until WEDNESDAY to go they discovered the baby has an arrhythmia. He said it was a 2 to 1, where it beats twice, then once, and so on. He said it wasn't a "normal" arrhythmia...but wasn't really abnormal either. All chambers and valves looked good, and baby is at 42% for growth. So I have to go in every week for a reapeat ultrasound to check the heart....I'm so scared!! Has anyone experienced this with any of their children? I'm currently 34 weeks 5 days.

Words of encouragement would be great!!!

Just wanted to send hugs . No experience with this, but went through some scary times in previous pregnancies not knowing if baby was ok so I know you must be terrified. Praying everything is ok!

Re: Fetal arrhythmia....anyone else experience this?

My 1st DS had one along with some other issues (2 vessel cord, spot on heart) that we discovered at 20 weeks. He was born healthy and both the spot and arrhythmia had went away sometime during the end of my pregnancy. (I was told this happens often by my Dr.)

It should correct its self in time - each my my lo are checked with feltal echos because of my heart defect and this was one of my questions. I would cut back (or out completely) sugar, pop, coffee, ect... from your diet for now Best of luck!
