I've been watching for your posts lately bcz I know how bad you want your VBAC!I definitely wouldn't do any induction either, unfortunately. Have you done side steps on stairs, rolling on a birthing ball, walking and more walking? Your body might just need the added pressure of baby to get moving. Even though they've been csections, your body may not show signs of labor until it actually hits, like another mama said. I'll say a pray you wake up with a surprise and be on your way to a successful VBAC!!

Re: need some encouragement....i am bummed
mama. Try not to be discouraged. Subsequent babies often don't engage until labor starts. I was about the same as you until I went into labor and he was born after 65 minutes of labor

![]() Cervidil is actually incredibly dangerous for any woman. It is not supposed to be used for induction, and the company that produces it has tried to get the usage of it in that way stopped. Anyway, off topic. OP, I went from not even 1cm dilated with my DD to pushing her out is less than 5 hours, where you are at right now doesn't matter, things can change very quickly Good luck!(Also, I love love love! your profile picture )

I went to nothing to something 8 hours later. Then after laboring for 6 hours, to only being a 3 and probably being sent home from the birth center. Then I got in the tub. Boom. Had my baby 2.5hrs later. No tearing. Checking is stupid. Only discourages us when really the body changes drastically in some moms, in a very short period.

Re: need some encouragement....i am bummed
my only labor experience was my 3rd pregnancy, where it took me 3 days to dilate to 3 cm and 2 more days to dilate to 10 cm. I'm having a hard time believing I could actually dilate as quick as some of you did.

Re: need some encouragement....i am bummed
Maybe your body likes to cook longer? Are you sure about dates? Maybe you ovulate later than some women so you could actually be 39.5 days? I never dilate until I'm in labor. Hang in there mama!!!!!

Re: need some encouragement....i am bummed
I am absolutely sure about dates this time. Ultrasounds, LMP, and any original calculations all pointed directly at May 13, 14, or 15. So I know I'm in that range...
My last pregnancies all ended at 42, 42, and 43 weeks...I do cook `em longer. But my VBAC doc is not a fan of going past 42 weeks.
