Milk storage help!!

Ok I'm broke and out of breast milk storage bags!! I don't get paid till Monday!!! I'm like super broke so I can't get them at the store right now. And I have to pump like have to have to right now cuz I work full time. Can I use ziplock baggies? Or can anyone suggest anything that's easy to transport and that is commonly found around the house

Can you pump directly into your bottles, then store excess milk temporarily in the fridge in any food safe containers?

Call your local hospital, they should be able to help you out =)

maybe glass jars?? like canning jars?
bottles with lids?
glass baby food jars?
tupperware?

I don't have any jars and I only own one bottle currently because I just moved and I'm tearing the place apart looking for the rest. Ice cube trays would be too messy to transport from work. I didn't think about asking the local hospital though I'll have to do that.

If you are storing in the fridge and not freezing, I personally would store in anything that is food safe. Zip lock bags, jars, heck even thermos. That's just me though, I'm not saying it is the right thing to do or safe.

You can store in anything food safe and clean. It's not ideal, but it will work for the time being. You're only other option would be to dump it, and that stinks to put in a lot of hard work just to pour it down the drain.

When I was desperate at work once I grabbed some water bottles out of the recycling can, washed them and stored my milk in them for the day lol...yes, you can use anything food safe in a pinch :-)

are you in need of bottles? I have some playtex drop in's that I can send you if you need. You would just have to buy new nipples for them.
