Daphne was due May 19th, but I knew that because I had a mandatory conference call for my thesis on May 18th, she would definitely be coming on May 18th. And she did, lol! I had to warn the professor on my conference call that I was losing my voice because I had just gone through a 16 hour unmedicated labor.

Labor started at 7 pm on May 17th. DH called the MW when my contractions were 8 mins apart. The birth center was a 1.5 hour drive, and they were 3 mins apart when we arrived. I was 8 cm when we walked in the door! Her head was asynclitic, so I had a lip on my cervix, and after the MW broke my water, I was still in transition for like 3 hours. I didn't think I was going to make it. I ended up pushing for a little over 3 hours. She arrived at 10:37 am at exactly 7 lbs and 20 1/4 inches long, with a full head of hair and DH's huge feet.

Wow I cannot imagine pushing for so long unmedicated! Congrats!
