Keepsake?

Would you/Have you/Do you plan to keep a keepsake diaper from each child?

I'm in the process of selling everything off because DS is not using diapers anymore (well at night, but he has to have a dispoable overnight anyway, cloth gives him bad rashes over night).

I kept one diaper from DD a minky embroidered diaper. I'm thinking of keeping one for DS too... But is this silly? I mean what will they do with an old diaper? Am I just too attached to the cloth?

ETA: new Q if you keep a pocket do you bother to keep an insert for it?

I was an idiot & sold DS2's first cd OTB. Such a doofus. I kept the first cd to touch Ds3's bum though. I made sure it was a super adorable Classic car fitted. I have never seen another diaper like it either. I won't ever sell that one.

So, OP I do not think you are silly to keep a few.

I'm kind of kicking myself because I sold the two that I was most attached to to a friend for her baby. I know they're loved and it's a good friend so at least there's that.

I'll give DS the choice from the ones remaining, which one he wants to keep.

I didn't dd's first worn one...but I still am holding onto a some. But I don't know if I'll end up keeping them. They'd probably end up being used as doll diapers and I might as well make money on them now and make her something fun later

I never kept any of the really little ones. Even DD's keepsake is a Medium Preston's Pants. But I kind of like letting them choose it, rather than just keeping the first one that was used. She chose the one we kept for her because it's minky (soft), green (her fave colour) and has a seahorse on the back.

DS just chose his car print RSD to keep.

Well my plan is to only keep the most special/memorable clothes and diapers and then make each child their own quilt from those when they graduate HS. So along with like their coming home outfits, Im saving their first diapers. I don't think I will save anything else. If it's of use then I would rather pass it along to another mama to use.
