Can I put a bandaid on the edge of my areola when DS nurses?
Will it affect his sucking or something?
I have a sore that wont heal. His teeth rub on it when he nurses. It looks like a cold sore now and scabs and bleeds. It hurts sooo bad. I put breastmilk and BUTTer on it whne he's not nursing. I also clean it with sea salt and warm water. its not going away. If I could cover it while he nurses it would be awesome

Could you try a different nursing position? Being creative can go a VERY long way to letting that spot heal. Toddlers love "creative" nursing positions.

I tried the football hold. His teeth just rubbed the other side of my nipple. I can try again

Try the amazing nipple ointment of bacitracin 2%, hydrocortisone .1% and miconozale 2% (monistat). You can find all three at most drug stores, and want to find the ointment not cream if possible. Mix a tiny bit of each together and put it on your nipples immediately after feeding. It is not harmful to baby, and requires a very small amount. It should fix whatever the wound is, and hopefully do so very quickly. I have used it a few times while nursing my DS, and I SWEAR by it. Good luck. I know how awful it is to have a sore of any kind while trying to nurse.

Try nursing laying down but with the baby flipped upside down so babies feet are up by your head.
Or you could also trying normal laying as that has baby top to bottom, versus side to side like cradle.
